Used to set growth rates for pre-trial earnings and pre-trial household services.

Expanded data from 2014. There are now two data sets available for that year:

2014 BLS Current Employment Statistics: Nominal
2014 BLS Current Employment Statistics: Deflated

As part of the Damages Advocate applications, we provide historic earnings growth data sets that are based on the Current Employment Statistics (CES) from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). In previous releases of the applications, we presented these data sets as being net-of-inflation, or deflated. That was not accurate. We were using nominal data to calculate the growth rates. Starting with the latest release (2016 Release 1) and going forward, we will provide both nominal and deflated earnings growth data sets. The data sets from previous releases have been relabeled to indicate that they are based on nominal data.

To review the data we downloaded from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) web site, and our earnings growth calculations based on that data, please download the following workbook:

We downloaded the CES data using the series ID formats discussed here:

The series IDs we used are in the workbook linked above.

We downloaded the data by starting here and pasting in the series IDs:
