You use the DVD data methods to value household services automatically based on an individual's demographics. For the data citation, see Household Services Data. There are three DVD data methods using three different years of data:

• | Apply 2010 DVD Data |
• | Apply 2005 DVD Data |
The DVD data methods automatically process the ages of the decedent, the spouse if applicable, and any children. As these individuals grow older, the correct tables from the DVD data are applied by the application. No additional inputs are required, with the following exception:

The DVD data methods do not automatically handle retirement dates. To apply the DVD data for retired individuals, you must define services at the retirement date event (Projected Retirement Date or Projected Spouse Retirement Date), select a DVD data method, and set the Employment input to Retired. |
