Please Note: The Income Taxes account does not appear on the income statements when the Pass Through (No Tax Lines) assumption on the Financial Statements Assumptions Sheet is set to True.
To adjust the Income Taxes account:
Select the Account
In the Income Statements Adjustments worksheet for the year you want to adjust, click on the Income Taxes account. You can click anywhere in the account's row.
Select the Edit Adjustments Command
Click on the Edit Adjustments button on the Desktop Toolbar. The Adjust Income Taxes Dialog Box will open.
Select Automatic or Manual Adjustments
The adjustment can be calculated automatically using the Federal Tax Table.
Enter the Adjustments (Manual Adjustments Only)
You enter manual adjustments into the grid in the center of the dialog box.
Use the Key column to assign a number or letter to the annotation.
In the Adjustment column, enter the amount of the adjustment.
Use the Annotation column to explain what the adjustment is for.
Set the Footnote Order (Optional)
The input labeled "Footnote order (optional)" determines the position of the adjustments footnote at the bottom of the page. Valid values are 1 to 1000. Set the input to 1 to place the footnote first. Set the input to 1000 to place it last.
Deleting an Adjustment
To remove an adjustment, select its row, then click on the Delete button at the bottom of the dialog box.
Select the OK Button
When you're done with the adjustments, click on the OK Button. The dialog box will close and the income tax adjustments will be applied.
