To adjust an account:
Select the Account
In the Adjustments worksheet, click on the account that you want to adjust. You can click anywhere in the account's row.
Please Note: You can only adjust accounts that have a yellow cell in the Normalize/Adjust column. Accounts that contain a green cell in that column cannot be adjusted.
Select the Edit Adjustments Command
Click on the Edit Adjustments button on the Desktop Toolbar. The Edit Adjustments Dialog Box will open.
Enter the Adjustments
You enter manual adjustments into the grid in the center of the dialog box.
Use the Key column to assign a number or letter to the annotation.
In the Adjustment column, enter the amount of the adjustment.
Use the Annotation column to explain what the adjustment is for.
Applying the Adjustment to All Years
When the checkbox labeled "Apply adjustments to all years" is filled the adjustments are applied to the financial statements for every year. When the checkbox is empty the adjustments are only applied to the current year.
Set the Footnote Order (Optional)
The input labeled "Footnote order (optional)" determines the position of the adjustments footnote at the bottom of the page. Valid values are 1 to 1000. Set the input to 1 to place the footnote first. Set the input to 1000 to place it last.
Deleting an Adjustment
To remove an adjustment, select its row, then click on the Delete button at the bottom of the dialog box.
Select the OK Button
When you're done entering adjustments, click on the OK Button. The dialog box will close and the adjustments will be applied to the accounts.
