Copying an Existing Template

To create an Analysis template by copying an existing template:

Step01Select Analysis | New | Template

From the Analysis menu, select New | Template. What happens next depends on how many templates are in your root folder and default Analysis templates folder:

wIf you only have the standard Analysis template, then your new template will be created by copying the standard template. The Template Name Dialog Box will appear. Skip Step 2 and go to Step 3 below.

wIf you have multiple templates, then the New Analysis Template Dialog Box will appear. Go to Step 2.

Step02Select the Template to Copy

The New Analysis Template Dialog Box lists the Analysis templates found in the root folder and the default Analysis templates folder. Click on the template that you want to copy, then click on the OK button in the low right corner of the Open Template Dialog Box. The New Analysis Template Dialog Box will close and the Template Name Dialog Box will appear.

Browsing for a Template

If the template you want to copy isn't listed in the New Analysis Template Dialog Box, click on the Browse button. When you select a template using the Browse feature, the New Analysis Template Dialog Box closes automatically and the Template Name Dialog Box appears.

Step03Name the New Template

Enter a name for the new template file into the Template Name Dialog Box. The software will add the correct file extension automatically. When you select the OK button, the dialog box will close and the new template will open.
