Restoring Cells

You can restore cells to their original state. Restoring a cell replaces its current contents and formatting with the contents and formatting of the same cells in the project's template.

Step01Select the Cells

Select the cells that you want to restore. You can select a single cell or a range of adjacent cells.

Step02Select the Restore Command

Select Tools | Restore, or click on the Restore button in the Desktop Toolbar.

Step03Confirm Your Decision

You will be prompted to confirm your decision to restore the cell(s). Select Yes to continue.

Please Note: What happens next depends on whether the software can find the template that the Analysis file was created from, and if so, whether the version numbers of the two files match.

wIf the software finds the template and the version numbers match, the software will restore the cell(s). You're done.

wIf the software finds the template but the version numbers do not match, you will receive an error prompt. Contact Technical Support for further assistance.

wIf the software cannot find the template, you will be asked if you want to select one. Continue at Step 4 below.

Step04Select a Source Template

If the software cannot find the template used to create the Analysis file, then you will receive a message prompt that asks if you want to select the template to restore the cell(s) from. Select Yes from the message to continue. The Open Template Dialog Box will appear.

The Open Template Dialog Box lists the Analysis templates found in the root folder and the default Analysis templates folder. Click on the template that you want to open, then click on the OK button. The dialog box will close.

If the template you want to select isn't listed, click on the Browse button. When you select a template using the Browse feature, the Open Template Dialog Box closes automatically.

Please Note: What happens next depends on whether the version numbers of the template and the Analysis file match.

wIf the version numbers match, the software will restore the cell(s). You're done.

wIf the version numbers do not match, you will receive an error prompt. Contact Technical Support for further assistance.
