Types of Sheets

Four different types of sheets appear under the Analysis Tab. The following table describes each type of sheet and shows its Explore Mode icon.

Icon

A folder sheet lists the name of the current folder in the upper left corner, followed by all of the sheets and subfolders contained in the current folder, plus all of the sheets contained in each subfolder. You can access any sheet or subfolder by clicking on it in the list. See Using the Folder Sheets.

 

Navigator Folder Icon

An assumptions sheet contains the settings for a particular part of the valuation process. For example, there is an assumptions sheet for the Capitalization of Earnings appraisal method. See Working with Assumptions.

 

Navigator Assumptions Icon

A worksheet is a Microsoft® Excel worksheet designed for a specific task in the valuation process. You use worksheets to enter data and to view the results of calculations. See Working with Worksheets.

 

Navigator Worksheet Icon

A chart is a Microsoft® Excel chart sheet drawn from data and calculations in the Analysis file. Charts help you analyze the subject business and correctly determine its value. See Working with Charts.
